Aperire: to open, to reveal, to uncover. April!
Spring is just such a pleasure after a hard weather winter; especially April.
Our garden at the Inn is my first, apart from a postage stamp in Old Town in Chicago. After ten years it still amazes and inspires me every year! The daffodils and crocus are up, the tulips are poking through and budding, and the herb garden survived with chives, parsley, thyme, mint and oregano. Plants whose names I cannot recall, but that I planted, are poking up through the ground as well as weeds, known and unknown. All are welcome!
We’re opening for the season April 1 and look forward to sharing with you our love of food, hospitality, new dishes and stories from our winter travels, and the awakening spring garden….weed pulling workshop available;)
